What Every Baby Boomer Has in Common

The baby boomers who retired today are like the one’s who retired yesterday and the day before.  Figuratively, they are out to pasture.  Like the dinosaurs of millions of years ago, they are starring up into the sky wondering what the hell that bright shiny object heading their way is.

Baby boomers all have something in common.  Their parents survived the first great depression.  Their parents went on to win the Second World War, destroy Communism and create retirement.

Before the greatest generation, retirement was something only the wealthy enjoyed.  Most people worked to their death or close to it. When they became too old or infirm to do the jobs they normally did, they would move in with family and help the family out. Family would care for them until the end.
