Making pelvic wall physical therapy more accessible to women in the US.

Why French women don’t suffer from incontinence as frequently as American women.

Stress incontinence is very common for women after childbirth because the pelvic muscles have been weakened. To solve the problem, in France, women are prescribed 20 sessions of physical therapy for the pelvic floor. In the US, women are encouraged to wear pads or diapers to take care of the problem. Part of the issue is in the US the subject of incontinence is never talked about, so women don’t even know they have other options.
